Wellness monitoring — truly understand your players
Physical fitness alone doesn't win games. KAIZEA captures six wellness dimensions every day — sleep, mood, muscle soreness, stress, nutrition, and energy — and shows you which players need support today, often before the load traffic light itself turns critical.
The problem
Why isn't fitness alone enough?
Fitness is visible, wellbeing isn’t
Sprints, passes, and duel rates show up in every stat sheet. Whether a player is exhausted, stressed, or simply running on empty stays invisible in training.
Overtraining creeps in quietly
It starts with worse sleep, more muscle soreness, a dip in mood — signals that get lost in the daily routine until they show up as an injury or a performance drop.
"How are you?" in the locker room isn't enough
A quick question before training is no substitute for systematic tracking over days and weeks — and players rarely volunteer that they're struggling.
Why it matters: psychological stress increases the probability of injury by up to 2.3 times (Ivarsson et al., 2017, Journal of Sport and Health Science). Daily training load is captured in parallel via session RPE, the validated, hardware-free self-assessment of perceived exertion (Foster et al., Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, 2001). Wellness data and load data together give you the full picture — either one alone falls short.
What you get
What does wellness monitoring measure?
KAIZEA captures 0 wellness dimensions every day — sleep, mood, muscle soreness, stress, nutrition, and energy — in a check-in that takes roughly 0 seconds . The entry works offline: players log their values even without signal in the locker room, and it syncs automatically once a connection is back.
- Six dimensions: sleep, mood, muscle soreness, stress, nutrition, energy
- About 30 seconds per check-in, right on the phone
- Works offline — entries without signal, syncing follows automatically
- Early warning often fires before the load traffic light turns critical

The readiness score
How is the readiness score calculated?
The readiness score combines three signals into a single number from 0 to 100. Because it's built on the daily wellness check-in, the early warning often fires before the load index itself moves into the critical range.
Wellness check-in — 40%
The six daily dimensions: sleep, mood, muscle soreness, stress, nutrition, energy.
Load zone — 30%
Where the player currently sits on the load traffic light — session RPE × attendance over recent days.
Form trend — 30%
The trend over recent weeks: is form rising, holding, or dropping right now?
The score spots load spikes early, before they become a risk — but it doesn't replace medical judgment and doesn't make automatic training decisions. The final call always stays with the coach.
For coaches
How does the coach see the wellness data?
The dashboard shows team scores and individual trends side by side. Critical values are flagged automatically, so you see who needs support today without manually reviewing every entry.
Team scores at a glance
Aggregated wellness values per team, compared against previous weeks.
Individual trends per player
A trend over weeks, not a single snapshot — one bad day doesn't immediately tip the scale.
Critical values auto-flagged
Players with concerning values are flagged automatically. You decide whether a conversation, a training adjustment, or a rest day is the right next step.
Encrypted on EU servers
Wellness data is highly sensitive. KAIZEA stores it encrypted on EU servers in Germany and the Netherlands — fully GDPR-compliant.

What does wellness tracking measure?
KAIZEA records six wellness dimensions daily: sleep, mood, muscle soreness, stress, nutrition, and energy. Together they show how a player is really doing today — not just physically.
How long does the daily wellness check-in take?
About 30 seconds. Players open the app, rate six dimensions on a scale, and they're done — even offline, without signal in the locker room.
What is the readiness score, and how is it calculated?
The readiness score (0–100) combines 40% wellness check-in, 30% current load zone, and 30% form trend over recent weeks. It often flags load spikes before the load traffic light itself turns critical — but it doesn't replace medical judgment.
Can parents see their child's wellness data?
Yes — with the appropriate permissions, parents can view their child's wellness trends. Coaches set exactly which data is visible to parents.
